Terms of service

Last updated: 22 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and DontLoseData ("we", "us"). They apply when you use dontlosedata at dontlosedata.site: the website, the dashboard and the API. By using it you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.

1. What dontlosedata is

dontlosedata gives your app a place to save data (as JSON) behind one web address, called an endpoint. You can try it without an account. Signing in with Google lets you keep endpoints longer, protect them with API keys and see every request.

2. Your account

3. What you may not do

Traffic that looks abusive is flagged automatically and reviewed by a person, and may be blocked.

4. Your data

5. Limits and automatic deletion

Each plan has limits on storage, request size and number of requests. You can see yours on your account page. Endpoints that aren't used for longer than your plan allows are deleted automatically, together with their data. We may change limits and plans. If a change reduces what you can store, we'll give you reasonable notice when we can.

6. Price

dontlosedata is free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.

7. No guarantees

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything important.

8. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages that come from using or being unable to use the service. If we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (zero on a free plan). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Suspension and ending

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
